Legacy: A - Act in Love (Horizontal)

What does it truly mean to love our neighbor? This message takes us deep into one of the most familiar commands in all of Scripture, found in Mark 12:28-33, where Jesus identifies the two greatest commandments. But rather than letting us settle into comfortable familiarity, it challenges us to wrestle with a question that cuts to the heart of our daily lives: who exactly is our neighbor, and are we actually being one? Drawing on the parable of the Good Samaritan from Luke 10, we discover that a neighbor is not defined by geography, shared background, or common beliefs. Instead, a neighbor is anyone who enters our proximity with a need, and we become their neighbor the moment we choose to act. This reframing is both liberating and convicting. It means every encounter carries divine intention. It means the person who is different from us, who holds different views, who comes from a different background, is not an obstacle to our comfort but an opportunity for God's love to move through us.
